According To the official website, a second season of the anime series Mushishi, Entitled 「Mushishi: Zoku-shou」 (Sequel Chapter), has-been Announced. It is slated to begin sometime in April. The Production staff and cast Will Remain the same as the first season.


The project is reported about to be split into 2-course - the first 12 episodes airing from April to June, and the last 12 episodes airing from October through December. It is Planned to cover the Remaining chapters of the manga.

Season 1 of the TV anime Mushishi HAD icts initial broadcast run from October 23rd, 2005 to June 19th, 2006. It consisted of 26 episodes.

On January 4th, 2014, new one-hour special titled, Mushishi Tokubetsu-hen: Hihamukage, aired on Tokyo MX station.

Mushishi (虫 师, Mushi - shi , literally . "Master of insects ") is written and illustrated by Yuki Urushibara manga . It was pre-published between 1999 and 2008 in Monthly Afternoon magazine , and has been compiled in a total of ten tankōbon . The French version is published in full by Kana .
An adaptation animated television series produced by the studio Artland aired between October 2005 and March 2006 in Japan. A special episode aired in January 2014 and a second season is scheduled for April 2014. A live adaptation film also launched in March 2007.
The manga has already sold over 25 million copies and was awarded several awards including an Award of Excellence Festival of Media Arts Agency for Cultural Affairs , Manga category in 20031 Award and the manga its publisher Kodansha in 2006 General category ( seinen ) 2. He also won the medal Gentoku the best Japanese animation series in 2010.
